Some visitors complain that is too crowded, but if you’re looking for a bustling night out, this is the place.
Basically you have four major options:
• Av. 24 de Julho – a long avenue with many bars and discos, usually very busy at night and not very far from Docas;
• Docas (Doca de Alcântara) is one of the liveliest nightlife areas in Lisbon, with plenty of restaurants, bars, street cafés and discos, in a beautiful scenario by the river;
• Parque das Nações – in the spot where the Expo 98 took place, it is the most modern part of the city, with nice buildings and a great view to the Tagus river. Here you can find one disco,
many bars and trendy restaurants with Portuguese and international cuisine.
. On the upscale side you can find excellent clubs for the city's elite were you might end dancing next to a local celebrity, some having more than one floor with different types of music on each, select and sophisticated.
